In case you haven’t heard (how could you not if you have a secret obsession with celeb gossip blogs?), Tom and Katie are ova. Yup. The couple Scientology built is now in ruins.
After a swift divorce, it’s rumored that the divorce proceedings only lasted as long as a cat hiss, due to some alleged close relationships Tommy-boy was or is having, that Katie threatened to reveal. Supposedly, these relationships, if revealed, would ruin Tom’s public image. I have to wonder though, if he ever really cared about his public image to begin with. If he did, he wouldn’t be an open practitioner of Scientology. I have nothing against that religion, because I don’t know much about it, but when you’re living in a country where Christianity is the major religion, you have to be careful about who or what you claim to pray to.
I’ve never been into Tom Cruise, though I’ve had slight moments of wanting to tongue him down, so I’m not really sympathetic about him going through his THIRD divorce. He’s always came off like a douche to me, so I can’t really bat for the guy, though I know it’s gotta be tough going through another split in front of the whole world. Katie has always seemed like the good girl she’s portrayed in the media, so if she ever says Tom’s the devil reincarnated, then I’ll believe her.
I hope they both do what’s best for little Suri, or she’s going to need a lifetime of therapy and a lobotomy before she’s old enough to buy rum.
